The temple sits alone and abandoned on Franklin Street. “Keep out” and “no trespassing” signs hang at various points around the building. People’s cars are parked outside of it and around it. Walking past, you know that it was once a place of bustling activity. Like so many other places in Wilkes-Barre, it was once a beautiful landmark, but it has gone to waste because people do not want to take care of it. It’s still beautiful in its own way, but it has become a beautiful ruin. People can no longer go inside to see its beauty; they must stay outside to admire it while it lasts.
King’s used this venue in many ways including graduations, for many years.
