The temple sits alone and abandoned on Franklin Street. There are “keep out,” and “no trespassing” signs hanging on various points on the building. People’s cars are parked outside of it and around it. Walking past, you know that it isn’t in use anymore, but at one point it was probably a place of bustling activity. Like other places in Wilkes-Barre, it was once a beautiful landmark that has gone to waste because people do not want to take care of it. It’s still beautiful in its own way, but it has become a beautiful ruin. People can no longer go inside to see its beauty. They must stay outside and admire the outside of it while it lasts.
